Swimming is a lifelong skill that is crucial for safety, and it also opens up a world of fun water-based activities.
Did you know: For children ages 1 to 4, learning to swim from a qualified instructor drastically reduces the risk of drowning by 88 percent and is critical in keeping children safer in the water.
Help us give more children access to swim lessons by donating to Step Into Swim.
Over the last 10 years, Step Into Swim has funded swim lessons for more than 330,000 children nationwide. Launched by the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (the leading trade association for the pool, spa, and hot tub industry) and led by three-time Olympic Gold Medalist Rowdy Gaines, Step Into Swim supports learn-to-swim programs that provide children with the lifesaving skill of learning to swim.
Make a Splash for Safety: Join The Pool Source in supporting water safety by making a donation to Step Into Swim. Any customer that donates $20 or more to Step Into Swim during the month of May will receive a 10% OFF coupon (retail items only) from The Pool Source to be used during the 2026 season. When you donate any dollar amount, it will be matched by the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance Board of Directors. A donation of $50 becomes $100!
